Definition from dictionary.com

Dada was a movement based on artists and poets wanting to rebel against the horrors of war.
At the time they basically went against all forms of traditional art making this is why they

onomatopoeic words. Basically onomatopoeia is a word trying to imitate a sound,
Dadaist would use theses sounds to represent  objects with in their poetry.
